Applications · Indoor
Indoors, grass changes how a space feels.
Showrooms, offices, retail, indoor play and sport.
Before it goes down, two things decide the specification: the building’s fire requirement and how hard the floor will be used.

What matters
Indoors, different rules apply.
An indoor surface is part of a building, and is specified like one.
Reaction to fire
Building codes and the building owner set the requirement. Ask for the result for the product and configuration.
Use
Display, play or sport. Each needs a different surface and build-up.
Floor and installation
The subfloor, installation method and any shock pad are part of the specification.
Products
Two surfaces used indoors.
Elan 35 for display and amenity areas, available in 100% PE or 100% PO. Pure Play 28 for indoor soccer and ball games, supplied in 100% PO. Fire test results differ per product and build-up. Ask us what is available for your project.
Before you specify
Check the fire requirement first.
Indoors, reaction-to-fire evidence is usually the first thing a building owner asks for.
A fire classification applies only to the product and configuration tested.
Can artificial grass be used indoors?
Yes, for display, play and sport. Check the fire requirement first. It applies to the product and configuration installed.
Which fire rating do I need?
Building codes and the building owner decide. ONE-DNA™ results are European classes under EN 13501-1, not US fire ratings, and apply only to the configuration tested, so ask for the report that matches yours.
Is it suitable for indoor soccer?
Pure Play 28 is used without performance infill for multi-sport courts, pickup games and indoor soccer. Check the fire requirement for your building before you specify it.
