Warranty
Terms

LimeGreen® offers a warranty when the purchase contract pertains to the sale and delivery of artificial grass. During the following warranty period, LimeGreen® guarantees that the artificial grass will be suitable for its intended use. The warranty period, commencing from the moment of delivery, is as follows:

  • 15 years for Europe and North America
  • 12 years for Australia and Southeast Asia
  • 9 years for Central Asia, South America, and Africa

If the artificial grass exhibits defects covered by this warranty, LimeGreen® will, at its discretion, either repair the artificial grass or supply a replacement quantity of square meters of artificial grass to replace the non-compliant square meters. In the case of replacement, the other party is required to pay an additional amount, which corresponds to the depreciation of the artificial grass. LimeGreen® applies the following depreciation scale to calculate the depreciation:

  • Europe and North America: 0-9 years (0%), 10-12 years (50%), and 13-15 years (75%)
  • Australia and Southeast Asia: 0-5 years (0%), 6-9 years (50%), and 10-12 years (75%)
  • Central Asia, South America, and Africa: 0-3 years (0%), 4-6 years (50%), and 7-9 years (75%)

When determining the final depreciation, a comparison is made between the total purchase price paid at that time and the current residual value of the artificial grass.

The warranty mentioned above does not apply if the artificial grass is used for purposes other than those for which it was designed and installed (e.g., use for javelin or discus throwing, roller skating, etc.), if third parties have carried out repairs, or if the artificial grass has not undergone annual specialized maintenance.

This warranty also does not cover damage resulting from:

  • Normal wear and tear and aging
  • Incorrect installation of the field or surface
  • Fire, cracks, accidents, vandalism, misuse, negligence, or neglect
  • Use of infill sand other than specified
  • Use of adhesive other than prescribed
  • Failure to maintain the infill sand at the correct level (if applicable)
  • Use for purposes other than intended
  • Failure to properly maintain, protect, and/or repair the artificial grass
  • Use of aggressive chemicals
  • Use of aggressive and/or incorrect cleaning agents and methods
  • Static charge
  • Storage other than indoors, dry, and in an area with temperatures between 12°C and 35°C
  • Exposure, directly or indirectly through reflection, to a temperature higher than 75°C
  • Discoloration of polyamide fibers caused by chloride
  • Placing or attaching items on or to the artificial grass
  • Force majeure and other situations beyond the reasonable control of LimeGreen® and/or its suppliers.

Artificial grass can shrink or expand due to weather conditions (cold, heat, UV radiation, etc.). Only if the percentage of expansion/contraction exceeds 0.5% in width and 1% in length will a defect be covered by the warranty.

If a defect in the artificial grass is not covered by the warranty, LimeGreen® may still choose to replace the defective artificial grass according to the first sentence of the second paragraph of this article. In that case, LimeGreen® is not responsible for removing the defective artificial grass or the associated costs. Furthermore, the other party bears the transportation costs for the replacement artificial grass.
