Description

For spaces that can carry a deeper lawn

A large yard or an open amenity lawn is seen from a distance, and a short, neat pile can look flat across it. ONE-DNA™ Elan 45 uses the same yarn as Elan 35 at a 45 mm (1.8 in) pile, which gives a deeper, more relaxed lawn with more volume.

Choose it where the lawn is seen across a distance and volume matters more than a neat, short finish.

Available as ONE-DNA™ 100% PE or ONE-DNA™ 100% PO, each with its own technical data. The values on this page are for 100% PE. Tell us about the space and we'll advise which route suits it.
Built with FuseTech™, which bonds the fibers into the backing with heat instead of a latex or polyurethane secondary coating.
Tufted, with the same heavier straight monofilament and curled thatch as Elan 35, at a longer 45 mm (1.8 in) pile. On the 100% PE route the face weight is 2,320 g/m² (68.4 oz/yd²).
On the 100% PE route, the datasheet advises 10 kg of dried silica sand per square meter (about 2 lb per sq ft), grading 0.5 to 1.0 mm with about 80% rounded grains. For 100% PO, ask us for the infill advice.
650 l/min/m² (about 1,535 in/hr), the same for every ONE-DNA™ product.
ONE-DNA™ Elan 45 has no EN 1177 critical fall height result and is not intended for use under play equipment. On a roof, the roof designer specifies the build-up, drainage and fire requirements.
Reaction to fire for ONE-DNA™ Elan 45 depends on the installed build-up, because infill changes the result. No reaction-to-fire test result is published yet for this product. Ask us if your project has a fire requirement.
Warranty and maintenance conditions are set out in our warranty terms.

Designed for recycling

It starts with the materials

Fiber and backing are joined without a latex or polyurethane coating, within one material route. Whether the product is recycled depends on collection and local processing.

Related knowledge

ONE-DNA™ Elan 45 is used in larger yards, landscape projects, amenity lawns and roof gardens, where a deeper lawn suits the space. It is chosen for its appearance across a distance. On a roof, the roof build-up, its drainage and its fire requirements are specified per project.
Same yarn and stitch rate, longer pile. On the 100% PE route, ONE-DNA™ Elan 45 has a 45 mm (1.8 in) pile and a face weight of 2,320 g/m² (68.4 oz/yd²), against 35 mm (1.4 in) and 1,880 g/m² (55.4 oz/yd²) for Elan 35. Elan 35 gives a neater, shorter lawn for spaces seen up close; Elan 45 a deeper, more relaxed lawn for larger spaces.
Not in itself. Pile length changes the look and volume of the lawn. Fall protection comes from a tested build-up of turf, infill and shock pad, and durability depends on use, installation and maintenance.
Yes. ONE-DNA™ Elan 45 is offered in 100% PE and 100% PO, each with its own technical data. The values on this page are for 100% PE.

Not yet. No reaction-to-fire test result is published for ONE-DNA™ Elan 45. If your project has a fire requirement, tell us the build-up and infill quantity and we'll advise.
