Independent testing institute SGS Intron has assessed the leaching characteristics of ONE-DNA™ artificial grass products intended for Landscaping and Play applications.
The assessment was carried out against established European test methods and criteria relating to emissions into soil and groundwater environments.
Independent testing
The investigation evaluated nineteen components for which emission criteria are defined within the applicable standards relating to soil quality.
Testing was conducted in accordance with:
- NEN 7375
- CEN/TS 16637-2
The results are documented in SGS analysis report 223197.
According to the test report, the measured values for the assessed parameters were below the applicable criteria used within the test framework.
Understanding leaching assessments
Leaching assessments are used to determine whether substances may be released from a material when exposed to environmental conditions over time.
These evaluations form part of a broader approach to understanding the performance characteristics of construction and landscaping materials and can provide valuable information for municipalities, designers, architects and other stakeholders involved in material selection.
Additional product testing
The leaching assessment complements other independent evaluations carried out on ONE-DNA™ products.
These include testing related to:
- EN 71-3 (Migration of Certain Elements)
- SVHC screening
- Product composition assessments
Together, these evaluations provide documented information about the material characteristics of the product and support transparency regarding product performance.

By making test data available, we aim to support informed decision-making by customers, specifiers and project stakeholders who require verified technical information when selecting artificial grass products.
