Front profile of ONE-DNA™ Play 24 artificial grass: fibres, pile and backing
  • 100% PO construction
  • 24 mm pile with dried silica sand infill
  • Seven colours for zones and game areas
Description

One surface, many ways to play

ONE-DNA™ Play 24 is made for spaces that are used hard and used constantly. A 24 mm pile filled with dried silica sand gives a flat, stable and predictable surface for running, ball games, informal play and the areas beneath play equipment. Seven colours make it possible to build zones, routes and game areas into the surface rather than paint them onto it.

Where play equipment introduces a free height of fall, the synthetic turf is combined with a shockpad and the complete build-up is specified against the European standard EN 1177.

Playgrounds and play areas, multi-use courts, multifunctional sport and play spaces, and school grounds. Under play equipment, it forms the synthetic turf layer of an impact-attenuating (softfall) build-up.
ONE-DNA™ 100% PO, combining the softness of PE fibres with the stability of a PP backing. ONE-DNA™ Play 24 is offered in this route only.
24 mm. The full construction data is stated in the technical datasheet.
Built with FuseTech™, which bonds the fibres into the backing with heat instead of a latex or polyurethane secondary coating.
Tufted. Stitch density and further construction data are stated in the technical datasheet.
ONE-DNA™ Play 24 is a sand-filled surface by design. The installation specification is dried silica sand, 0.2 to 1.0 mm. It ballasts the surface, supports the pile and keeps the surface flat under constant use. Sand on its own does not create fall protection.
The performance of the surface belongs to the complete build-up of turf, sand infill, any shockpad and base. Under play equipment, the shockpad is chosen for the free height of fall. Tell us about your project and we'll advise on the build-up.
650 l/min/m², the same for every ONE-DNA™ product.
Reaction to fire for ONE-DNA™ Play 24 depends on the installed build-up, because sand infill changes the result. The current 100% PO construction has not yet been tested. Ask us what is available for your project.
Critical fall height is measured to EN 1177 on the complete build-up of turf, infill and shockpad, and cannot be attributed to the turf alone. EN 1177 results for the current 100% PO construction are not yet available. Ask us about the options for the free height of fall in your project.
Warranty and maintenance conditions are set out in our warranty terms.

Life cycle assessment

Life cycle assessment is part of how ONE-DNA™ products are developed and improved. Results are published once independently verified. Ask us about the status for this product.

Designed for recycling

It starts with the materials

Fibre and backing are joined without a latex or polyurethane coating, within one material route. Whether the product is recycled depends on collection and local processing.

Why this product

Built for intensive play

Three reasons this product exists, and where it belongs.

High-use play

Playgrounds, multi-use courts, multi-use sport and play spaces and school grounds, where the surface is used every day and the maintenance window is short.

Sand-filled by design

Dried silica sand is part of the system rather than an accessory to it. It ballasts the surface, supports the pile and keeps the surface flat under constant use.

Tested build-ups

Under play equipment, the synthetic turf is tested with a shockpad as one build-up to the European standard EN 1177. The earlier PE construction reached 1.45 m to 3.27 m of critical fall height; results for the current 100% PO construction are not yet available.

Related knowledge

Name the product, the sand infill, the shockpad and the critical fall height the play area needs, and specify the tested build-up as a whole rather than the turf alone. We can help with the wording for a particular free height of fall.
The sand is a deliberate part of the system. It ballasts the surface, supports the pile so it stays upright under constant use, and keeps the surface flat. The installation specification is dried silica sand at 0.2 to 1.0 mm. Sand on its own does not create fall protection.
It is measured to the European standard EN 1177 on a complete build-up of synthetic turf, infill and shockpad, not on the grass alone. That is why a specification should name the full build-up. EN 1177 results for the current 100% PO construction of ONE-DNA™ Play 24 are not yet available, so ask us about the options for your project.
Yes, and the critical fall height changes with the shockpad. Choose the build-up against the free height of fall the project has to cover, and ask us which options suit your play equipment.
Seven colours: olive green, field green, blue, yellow, white, black and red. Colour does not change the construction. Use it to build activity zones, game areas, MUGA layouts, routes and graphic designs into the surface instead of painting them on.
No product-specific EPD is published for the current 100% PO construction of ONE-DNA™ Play 24. An EPD to EN 15804+A2 (MRPI, 2024, modules A1 to A3) covers its earlier 100% PE construction. Ask us for the current status.
