Applications · Sport
Sport surfaces are specified as systems.
Ball roll, grip and shock absorption come from the full build-up: carpet, shockpad, infill, base and drainage.
Start with the sport and the level of play.

What matters
What the pitch has to deliver.
The carpet is one layer of the system. Performance is measured on the whole.
- Playing performanceBall behaviour and player interaction, tested on the build-up against the standard your sport uses.
- Intensity of useHours per week, age groups and the maintenance regime decide the carpet and the infill.
- Whole-system designShock pad, infill, base and drainage are designed together with the carpet.

Products
Three surfaces for sport.
All three are supplied in 100% PO and specified as part of a complete pitch system. Each product page states which results exist for that product.

Before you specify
Ask for results on the system you’ll build.
A sport surface is only as good as the build-up it was tested on.
Results apply to the build-up tested, not to a product on its own.
Can one pitch serve soccer and hockey?
Pure PT One is designed as one synthetic turf pitch for soccer and hockey, for sites that have room for one pitch, not two. The build-up is specified per project.
Does a sport surface need infill?
It depends on the product and the sport. Pure Play 28 and Pure PT One are used without performance infill. Matrix 30 is installed with infill, following the installation guideline.
What does a sport certification cover?
Sport certifications apply to a tested system or an installed field, not to a product range. Ask for the report for the build-up and, where required, field testing after installation.
Why are ONE-DNA™ sport surfaces made in 100% PO?
Sport needs soft fibres on a carpet that stays stable under intensive use. 100% PO combines the softness of PE fibres with the stability of a PP backing, so every ONE-DNA™ sport surface is made in this route. How material routes work →
