I samarbeid med Tomorrowland, GBN AGR og TenCate ble det i 2023 gjennomf\u00f8rt et praktisk prosjekt for materialgjenvinning med ONE-DNA\u2122 kunstgress. Prosjektet unders\u00f8kte hvordan kunstgress kan samles inn og bearbeides etter et arrangement.<\/p>\n

Ved hjelp av returordningen som fantes p\u00e5 den tiden, samarbeidet alle partene om \u00e5 etablere en dokumentert vei for materialgjenvinning etter bruk.<\/p>\n

Utfordringen<\/h4>\n

Midlertidige arrangementer bruker ofte kunstgress i hospitality-omr\u00e5der, gangveier og publikumsomr\u00e5der. Tradisjonelt inneholder mange kunstgressprodukter en kombinasjon av materialer som polyetylen (PE), polypropylen (PP), lateks eller polyuretanbaserte komponenter.<\/p>\n

Etter endt bruk kan slike konstruksjoner av blandede materialer v\u00e6re krevende \u00e5 bearbeide, fordi ulike materialer kan m\u00e5tte skilles f\u00f8r gjenvinning. Avhengig av produktsammensetningen og tilgjengelige gjenvinningsveier kan dette begrense mulighetene for hva det gjenvunnede materialet kan brukes til.<\/p>\n

Prosjektet<\/h4>\n

I juli 2023 ble rundt 7 000 m\u00b2 ONE-DNA\u2122 kunstgress, laget i 100% PE (\u00e9n polymer), lagt i Tomorrowlands Comfort Zones. Monteringen ble utf\u00f8rt av Tomorrowland-teamet som en del av forberedelsene til festivalen.<\/p>\n

Prosjektet skulle vurdere hva som ville skje med materialet etter at arrangementet var over.<\/p>\n

Samlet inn og gjenvunnet<\/h4>\n

Etter festivalen ble ONE-DNA\u2122 kunstgresset samlet inn og gjenvunnet. GBN AGR bearbeidet materialet til polyetylenagglomerat, som ble levert til TenCate og brukt p\u00e5 nytt i h\u00f8yverdige anvendelser.<\/p>\n

I tillegg gjennomf\u00f8rte TenCate Grass fors\u00f8k der nytt garn ble produsert av innsamlet kunstgress. Disse garnfors\u00f8kene er et separat trinn, atskilt fra gjenvinningen og gjenbruken som er beskrevet ovenfor.<\/p>\n

Hvorfor det betyr noe<\/h4>\n

Prosjektet p\u00e5 Tomorrowland viser hva som blir mulig n\u00e5r arrang\u00f8rer, mont\u00f8rer, gjenvinnere og produsenter samarbeider, og n\u00e5r kunstgresset fra starten er laget av \u00e9n polymer: en ren materialstr\u00f8m som en gjenvinner kan bearbeide og en produsent kan bruke p\u00e5 nytt.<\/p>\n
