Bij kunstgras kunnen verschillende ontwerpkeuzes leiden tot verschillende recyclingroutes en verwerkingseisen.<\/p>\n<h4>Waarom materiaalsamenstelling telt<\/h4>\n<p>In het algemeen geldt: hoe homogener een materiaalstroom, hoe eenvoudiger die te herkennen, te verwerken en te beheren is.<\/p>\n<p>Wanneer meerdere polymeren in \u00e9\u00e9n product worden gecombineerd, zijn mogelijk extra verwerkingsstappen nodig om de verschillende materialen te scheiden, te sorteren of te beheren.<\/p>\n<p>Dat principe geldt in veel sectoren, waaronder verpakkingen, de auto-industrie en bouwproducten.<\/p>\n<h4>Kunstgras en meerdere materialen<\/h4>\n<p>Veel kunstgrassystemen bevatten een combinatie van materialen, waaronder:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Polyethyleen (PE)<\/li>\n<li>Polypropyleen (PP)<\/li>\n<li>Latex<\/li>\n<li>Polyurethaan (PU)<\/li>\n<li>Aanvullende versterkingsmaterialen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Elk materiaal heeft een specifieke functie in het product, maar de combinatie vergroot de totale materiaalcomplexiteit.<\/p>\n<p>Vanuit recyclingperspectief kan dat extra sortering, scheiding of verwerking vragen, afhankelijk van de beschikbare recyclinginfrastructuur en de beoogde materiaalroute.<\/p>\n<h4>Verwerking van systemen met gemengde materialen<\/h4>\n<p>Wanneer producten meerdere materiaalsoorten bevatten, moeten recyclers vaak bepalen hoe die materialen verwerkt kunnen worden.<\/p>\n<p>In sommige gevallen kunnen materialen in afzonderlijke stromen worden gescheiden. In andere situaties ontstaat een gemengde materiaalfractie.<\/p>\n<p>Of een van beide routes haalbaar is, hangt af van factoren als:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Materiaalsamenstelling<\/li>\n<li>Productopbouw<\/li>\n<li>Beschikbare technologie<\/li>\n<li>Economische haalbaarheid<\/li>\n<li>Lokale recyclinginfrastructuur<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Daardoor kunnen recyclingresultaten sterk verschillen per product en per regio.<\/p>\n<h4>Een aanpak met \u00e9\u00e9n polymeer<\/h4>\n<p>ONE-DNA\u2122-kunstgras is ontwikkeld als constructie van 100% PE (\u00e9\u00e9n polymeer).<\/p>\n<p>Doordat in de hele productopbouw \u00e9\u00e9n polymeer wordt gebruikt, is de materiaalsamenstelling eenvoudiger dan bij systemen met meerdere polymeersoorten.<\/p>\n<p>Deze Design for Recycling-aanpak is erop gericht de materiaalcomplexiteit al in de ontwerpfase te verminderen.<\/p>\n<h4>Materiaaltransparantie en toekomstige verwerking<\/h4>\n<p>Er is geen recyclingroute die voor elk product of elke markt geldt.<\/p>\n<p>Materiaaltransparantie helpt recyclers, opdrachtgevers en afvalverwerkers wel om beter te begrijpen wat een product bevat en welke verwerkingsopties beschikbaar kunnen zijn.<\/p>\n<p>Nu traceerbaarheid van producten en circulair ontwerpen steeds belangrijker worden, gaat materiaalsamenstelling waarschijnlijk een grotere rol spelen bij inkoop en productbeoordeling.<\/p>\n<h4>Vooruitblik<\/h4>\n<p>De discussie over het recyclen van kunstgras begint steeds vaker bij het productontwerp.<\/p>\n<p>Inzicht in welke materialen worden gebruikt, hoe ze zijn gecombineerd en hoe transparant die informatie is, helpt betrokken partijen beter ge\u00efnformeerde beslissingen te nemen over toekomstige verwerkingsopties.<\/p>\n<p>Daarom wordt materiaalsamenstelling, naast prestaties, uitstraling en levensduur, een steeds belangrijker criterium bij de keuze van kunstgrassystemen.<\/p>\n<p><em>Update, oktober 2026: dit artikel beschrijft het ONE-DNA\u2122-assortiment ten tijde van publicatie, gebaseerd op polyethyleen (PE).
