See <a href=\"https:\/\/one-dna.com\/au\/technology\/\">Technology<\/a> for the current material routes.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>ONE-DNA\u2122 artificial grass has achieved a reaction-to-fire test result corresponding to Bfl-s1 under EN 13501-1, for a product developed for indoor and event applications.<\/p>\n<p>The result was achieved without infill sand, giving specifiers and project owners an additional option where fire performance is part of the requirement.<\/p>\n<h4>Independently tested fire performance<\/h4>\n<p>The product was tested at Ghent University in accordance with EN ISO 9239-1, the test method used to evaluate the reaction-to-fire performance of floor coverings, and EN ISO 11925-2.<\/p>\n<p>The test result corresponds to Bfl-s1 under the European classification system for floor coverings.<\/p>\n<h4>Why fire performance matters<\/h4>\n<p>Fire performance is an important consideration in many applications, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Events and exhibitions<\/li>\n<li>Public buildings<\/li>\n<li>Commercial environments<\/li>\n<li>Rooftop applications<\/li>\n<li>Indoor recreational spaces<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In these environments, materials are often required to meet fire performance criteria as part of building regulations, project specifications or event requirements.<\/p>\n<h4>Understanding Bfl-s1<\/h4>\n<p>The Euroclass system, defined in EN 13501-1, classifies construction products according to their reaction to fire.<\/p>\n<p>For floor coverings, Bfl-s1 indicates limited flame spread and low smoke production under the test conditions.<\/p>\n<p>A result applies to the product and installation configuration that was tested, so project teams should check that the configuration they specify matches the test.<\/p>\n<h4>Fire performance without infill<\/h4>\n<p>Many artificial grass systems rely on infill to reach a particular fire performance.<\/p>\n<p>The tested ONE-DNA\u2122 product reached its result without infill sand.
