In 2022, ONE-DNA\u2122 artificial grass was introduced as an artificial grass product in 100% PE (one polymer), developed for landscaping, playground and recreational sports applications. Following the expansion of production capacity, the growing network of ONE-DNA\u2122 partners is now introducing ONE-DNA\u2122 across a wider range of projects and markets.<\/p>\n

A different product design approach<\/h4>\n

ONE-DNA\u2122 artificial grass was made in 100% PE (one polymer), a structure that differed from many conventional artificial grass systems.<\/p>\n

Traditional artificial grass products are often manufactured using combinations of different materials, including polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), latex, polyurethane (PU) or other backing and coating components. These material combinations can influence how products are managed and processed after use.<\/p>\n

The development of ONE-DNA\u2122 reflects a Design for Recycling approach, where material composition is considered during the product design stage.<\/p>\n

Responding to industry developments<\/h4>\n

The artificial grass industry continues to evolve as customers, installers, municipalities and other stakeholders increasingly examine the full lifecycle of products.<\/p>\n

For many years, discussions within the sports sector have included topics such as collection, processing and material management at the end of a product’s service life. Similar discussions are now becoming more common within landscaping, playground and recreational applications.<\/p>\n

ONE-DNA\u2122 was developed in response to these developments, providing an alternative product design based on 100% PE (one polymer).<\/p>\n

Industry experience<\/h4>\n

\u201cWe have been active in the artificial grass market since 2007 and have seen how customer expectations and industry requirements continue to develop,” explains Ed Donkers.<\/p>\n

\n

Artificial grass offers practical solutions for gardens, playgrounds and sports facilities. At the same time, there is increasing attention on topics such as material composition, product transparency and end-of-life management. These developments influenced the creation of ONE-DNA\u2122 and our focus on mono-material product design.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The partner network<\/h4>\n

ONE-DNA\u2122 works together with a growing network of partners. These partners share an interest in innovation, product transparency and the continued development of artificial grass solutions for landscaping, play and recreational applications.<\/p>\n

By collaborating across different markets and regions, the partner network helps introduce ONE-DNA\u2122 to customers looking for high-quality artificial grass products supported by documented product information and a Design for Recycling philosophy.<\/p>\n

Looking forward<\/h4>\n

As the artificial grass industry continues to develop, product design, material composition and transparency are expected to remain important topics. Through ONE-DNA\u2122 and the partner network, we continue to explore new approaches that support these evolving industry requirements.<\/p>\n
